7 Ways to Be Your Best Self

I had such a blast with this exercise. Many of my dearest clients (who are also friends!) are mavens in the wellness sector so I am fortunate to be exposed to the best of the best in the industry. Here are a few of my favorite things when it comes to being yourself, only better(!). Thanks for including me!” — Lauren Zander

1. Dr. Mark Hyman’s 10 Day Detox
It wasn’t just the diet that changed everything (which it did), but it was a way of thinking differently about food that rocked my family’s whole(listic) world, and still does.

2. Elena Brower’s YogaGlo Program
Give yourself the gift of yoga with master instructor Elena Brower. In only 20 minutes (and in your own home!), you’ll open your heart and your mind. What could be better than that?

3. Miki Agrawal’s new book, Disrupt-Her
With all the craziness going on in the world today, I’ve never been more proud to know, coach and call this inspiring renegade my friend. Miki stands in the frontline, beckoning us all to radically disrupt the world — and in her book, she shows us how.

4. Wanderlust Festival + Campowerment
These are my two favorite gatherings in the wellness space. Nothing like a coming together of like minds, who are out to kick ass, get inspired, move mountains, change the planet, find their tribe and reignite their lives.

5. Dana Divine, the Goddess Maker
Yes, I have a “feather lady” and yes, she rocks my world. Nothing like learning not to care about what people think by sporting feathers in your hair. For me, my feathers are an homage to being free, to remembering not to take my grown-up self too seriously. After all, maturity is for the birds. I mean, shouldn’t everyone have a feather lady? If you knew Dana, you’d want one too.

6. Intensati, the workout
If you’re going to work out, shouldn’t the experience be a spiritual one? Nothing better than rewiring your own inner dialogue while working out. It not only gets you out of your head, but into your dreams and showing your body who’s boss: YOU.

7. Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice Tea
It’s winter, which means I’m drinking a lot of hot beverages. My favorite is Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice! I use 2 tea bags at once. It’s so good, it tastes like sugar. And as crazy as it sounds, I even put it in my coffee, because it adds a chai flavor because it has cardamom and is cinnamon-heavy. I was recently talking to my friend, meditation teacher Emily Fletcher, about my “dessert hack” and she started screaming, turns out she has been serving it at the Ziva meditation center for years! Try two bags. Three if you’re crazy!
